The 'Refund Banker Scheme,' which commenced from 24th Jan 2007, is now operational for Non-corporate taxpayers assessed in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune, Patna, Cochin, Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Allahabad, and Kanpur.

In the 'Refund Banker Scheme' the refunds generated on processing of Income tax Returns by the Assessing officers/ CPC-Bangalore are transmitted to State Bank of India, CMP branch, Mumbai (Refund Banker) on the next day of processing for further distribution to taxpayers.

Refunds are being sent in following two modes:


RTGS / NECS: To enable credit of refund directly to the bank account, Taxpayer.s Bank A/c (at least 10 digits), MICR code of bank branch and correct communication address is mandatory.

Paper Cheque: Bank Account No, Correct address is mandatory.
Taxpayers can view status of refund 10 days after their refund has been sent by the Assessing Officer to the Refund Banker - by entering 'PAN' and 'Assessment Year' below.

Other Refunds

Status of 'paid' refund, being paid other than through 'Refund Banker,' can also be viewed at www.tin-nsdl.com by entering the 'PAN' and 'Assessment Year' below.

'Refund paid' status is also being reflected in the 'Tax Credit Statements' in Form 26AS.

Instructions:-
1. Two passport size colour photos. (the image in photo must  be very clear and xerox copy of photos will be rejected. All colour Xerox photos are unacceptable.
2.Photo ID Proof like passport copy, election card, dirving license or any such proof. (See Instructions)
3 Address Proof, if the current address is different from the one in the photo id proof.

If the applicant is not having any photo id proof or the address proof then he is required to sign and also get the attestation done from the gusseted officer on the below affidavit and submit it along with application.

(a) Applicants may obtain the application form for PAN (Form 49AA) from TIN‐Facilitation
Centres (TIN‐FCs) / PAN Centres, Depository Participants (DP), any other stationery
vendor providing such forms or download from the TIN website (www.tin‐nsdl.com).
This duly filled Form 49AA along with the prescribed documents is required to be
submitted to your DP.
(b) The fee for processing PAN application is Rs. 85/‐ (plus service tax, as applicable).
(c) Those already allotted a ten digit alphanumeric PAN shall not apply again as having or
using more than one PAN is illegal. However, request for a new PAN card with the same
PAN or/and Changes or Correction in PAN data can be made by filling up 'Request for
New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data' form available from any
source mentioned in (a) above. The cost of application and processing fee is same as in
the case of Form 49A & Form 49AA.
(d) An acknowledgment containing a 15–digit unique number will be issued to the DP
concerned on acceptance of this form. This acknowledgment number can be used for
tracking the status of the application.

Under the personal banking category, a customer can deposit maximum cash worth Rs 25,000 each day at non-home branches. However, under the small and medium enterprises (SME) category, maximum cash deposit limit is Rs 200,000 per day.

11. TAN is the Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number allotted. by Income Tax Department. New TAN is a ten
character alphanumeric number with the following structure:
First four digits (Alphabets), Next Five digits (Numeric) and last digit (Alphabets).
It is advisable that DDO verifies from the Income Tax website whether TAN has been allotted as per the new format.

Request for Activation of Tier-II account under New Pension System (NPS)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING THE FORM
a) The form is to be filled by the Subscribers having a PRAN card and Tier 1 account under NPS.
b) Form to be filled legibly in BLOCK LETTERS and in BLACK INK only. Please fill the form in legible handwriting so as to avoid errors in your
application processing. Please do not overwrite. Corrections should be made by cancelling and re-writing and such corrections should be counter-signed by
the applicant.
c) Each box, wherever provided, should contain only one character (alphabet/number/punctuation mark) leaving a blank box after each word. The details
marked with (*) are mandatory.
d) The Subscriber shall provide copy of PRAN and PAN card along with the application form.
e) Applications incomplete in any respect and/or not accompanied by required documents are liable to be rejected. The application is liable to be rejected if
mandatory fields are left blank.
f) Government employees (mandatorily covered under NPS) may submit their application to any POP-SP of their choice. The list of POP-SPs rendering
services under NPS is available on CRA website http://www.npscra.nsdl.co.in
g) Any Indian citizen (other than government employee mandatorily covered under NPS) may submit the application only to the POP-SP through which they
have registered with CRA for Tier 1 account.
h) Subscribers are advised to retain the acknowledgement slip signed/ stamped by the POP-SP where they submit the application.
i) Bank Details :
a. Bank details are mandatory for Tier-II else, account will not be activated. Even if the bank details are same as in Tier II
b. Subscriber shall provide cancelled cheque, the details of which should match with the details provided under Point No.2 on Page 1. . Even if
the bank details are same as in Tier II, the subscriber should provide a „cancelled cheque‟.


j) Subscriber’s Nomination Details
Percentage Share
1) Subscriber can nominate a maximum of three nominees.
2) Subscriber cannot fill the same nominee details more than once.
3) Percentage share value for all the nominees must be integer. Decimals/Fractional values shall not be accepted
in the nomination(s).
4) Sum of percentage share across all the nominees must be equal to 100. If sum of percentage is not equal to 100,
entire nomination will be rejected.
Nominee‟s Guardian Details If a nominee is a minor, then nominee‟s guardian details shall be mandatory.
The nomination exercised for Tier I shall not be automatically applicable to Tier II. A subscriber to Tier II is required to make a fresh nomination.
In case, you want to retain the same nomination as in Tier I, please select “YES” by putting tick mark in the box.

k) Subscriber Scheme Preference
Active choice
1. PFM selection is mandatory. The form shall be rejected if a PFM is not opted for.
2. Allocation under Equity (E) cannot exceed 50%
3. A subscriber opting for active choice may select the available asset classes (“E”, “G”, & “C”). However, the sum of percentage
 allocation across all the selected asset classes must equal 100. If the sum of percentage allocations is not equal to 100%, or the asset
 allocation table at Point No. 4 (iii) is left blank, the application shall be rejected.
Auto choice
4. A subscriber opting for Auto Choice must also select a PFM. The application shall be rejected if the subscriber does not indicate
 his/her choice of PFM
5. In case both investment option and the asset allocation at Point No. 4 (ii) and Point No. 4 (iii) are left blank, the subscriber‟s funds will
be invested as per Auto Choice
